    General Summary:
    Performs numerous manual duties to produce quality products in accordance with Company requirements.


    • Essential Job Functions:
       Performs a variety of routine tasks in food manufacturing including, but not limited to: inspecting, sorting, packaging and palletizing.
       Must be able to pack at a specified sustained rate for the shift.
       Cartons must be packed straight and neat. Product packed incorrectly will be considered unacceptable.
       Conducts quick inspection of products before it leaves their assigned stage in the manufacturing process.
       Will rotate positions every 30 minutes.
       Keep a sanitary workstation.
       Employee must be able to follow all GMP regulations.
       Stock line with packaging materials as needed.
       Relieve personnel as needed.
       Responsibilities often require overtime, and weekend hours.
      Essential Skills and Experience:
       Required to use proper lifting techniques.
       Must be able to tolerate a cold environment of 40 degrees or below.
       Must be able to lift, bend and reach in place.
       Must be able to count.
       Must have good hand and eye coordination.

    Work environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The work environment may be noisy, dusty, slippery, hot or cold, depending on the particular product and manufacturing processes being carried out. Workers are required to regularly wash their hands with anti-bacterial soap and wear protective clothing including hair nets, gloves, masks and overalls, which will help avoid contaminating products.
    Physical demands: Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, grasp or touch objects and tools.
    Frequent standing, walking, climbing, squatting, stooping, crouching, twisting, bending and reaching. Regularly lift/and or move up to 10 pounds. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Working in cold rooms (40 degrees Fahrenheit or below) for extended periods is likely. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
