Directs, controls, organizes, and helps determine the strategic direction and leadership of assigned category to achieve the division’s short range and long range business development objectives.
Expert: Has to be the go-to person for all information for their category. This entails working with the sales team in the field to help identify customer/segment opportunities and then capitalizing on them
Market analysis: analyzes and defines the market for the assigned category and drives product growth and innovation within the category
Marketing and business planning: Assist in the development of marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules and action assignment.
P&L: Individual is to make sure that GP/OP objectives are met both at a category as well as at a sku and customer level
Marketing Materials: Develop and implement new marketing materials and brochures as well as being responsible for updating existing materials.
Pricing: Manage the pricing and P&L’s within the assigned category
Sales budget: achieve established category sales budget.
8+ years relevant work experience, especially as it relates to financial analysis, P&L’s, executing strategic plans and overall category and project management
5+ years of Foodservice experience
4+ years of progressive financial, P&L and pricing management
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, business or finance/economics
Master of Business Administration degree preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to operate as a team player.
Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
