  • Overview

    Position will be responsible for ensuring plant food safety during operations. ADCO operator will be responsible for operating the ADCO machine and ensuring cartons are formed correctly.

    Operator needs to inform Lead, Supervisor or Manager of issues that related to the ADCO and/or product out of specifications.

     

    Lift up to 30 pounds

    Responsibilities

    Key Performance Elements/Essential Functions

     

    • Ensure the correct cartons are loaded on the machine based on the production schedule
    • Refill cartons as needed
    • Check for any damage product or unseal bag before sending back to the ADCO loaders
    • Stop equipment for carton jams and remove carton gently (don’t remove forcefully)
    • Make sure carton picker doesn’t drop cartons
    • Make sure the overflow green bin is not full and blocking the photo eye
    • Make sure cartons do not have open flaps
    • Make sure cartons have glue on them
    • Refill the glue tank as needed
    • Fill out all necessary logs
    • Setup the ADCO line (set code date on cartons and shippers)
    • Have proper personal protective equipment
    • Keep area neat and clean
    • Follow all GMP’s
    • Perform all other work as assigned

    Qualifications

     

    General education desirable

     

    General Knowledge/Skills/Abilities 

    • Able to work together with co-workers as part of a team also, to work with minimal supervision
    • Basic Mathematics

     

    Position Specific Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

     

    1. Fluent in English (Written and Verbal) – preferred
    2. The employee is frequently required to stand, and walk.
    3. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel reach with hands and arms; climb or balance in a manufacturing facility; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
    4. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds using mechanical device.
    5. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud in the production area.
