The HR Generalist will partner with all levels at the ATFN plant and with the HR deparment at both Portland plants. They will function as an employee advocate as well as an employer advocate. Primary responsibilities will be recruiting, as well as other HR Generalist responsibilities. We are willing to consider an entry-level Generalist, as well as a college graduate, if it is the right fit for both ATFN and the candidate, and there is a willingness to learn and work hard.
Responsible for sourcing both active and passive candidates utilizing varying methods (e.g. representing employer at hiring events) and employing a variety of marketing tools.
Coordinate temporary employees for plant.
Responsible for building candidate pools for open positions by qualifying, interviewing conducting reference & background checks and pre-employment assessments.
Assist candidates coming in to complete applications for employment and conducting initial interview
Partnering with hiring managers on forecasting needs, defining position requirements, coordinate offers to candidates.
Maintaining ATS database of candidates and recruiting websites.
Perform various on-boarding tasks such new hire orientation, set up employees in payroll and time & attendance and other HRIS systems.
Other HR Duties
Assist HR Manager in various activities for training & development of employees. This can include assisting in creating training programs, select or develop teaching aids, conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
Respond to employment verification and unemployment claims.
Develop strong relationship with all operations group departments to assist in employee relations efforts, provide counseling to employees as necessary.
Identify critical HR issues, advise HR Manager of situation and troubleshoot when necessary
Assist in performs benefits administration to include change reporting, communicating benefit information to employees, etc.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Tracks attendance for non-exempt employees.
Acts as office administrator, coordinating office supplies, badges, uniforms, etc.
Assist HR Manager in planning and developing HR programs to maintain Company’s values and high employee engagement.
Coordinate company events such as parties, BBQ’s, monthly events, etc.
Coordinate employee product sale.
College graduate with a degree in Human Resources required if less than two years of relevant HR experience. Vietnamese language preferred. Strong organizational skills a must.
