    The foods at Ajinomoto Foods North America, are crafted with the utmost care and respect, using only the finest ingredients for an ever-lasting flavor and memory.  Quality, innovation, and collaboration are at the core of everything we do.  We are seeking a Warehouse Lead to contribute to our company mission by maintaining a safe work environment, providing oversight to the daily warehouse operations, and supporting communications with internal departments, supervisors and coworkers.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain a safe work environment:
      • Safely operate forklift equipment
      • Safely handle materials to prevent injury
      • Prevent damage to materials and property by safely handling
      • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse and production environment
      • Document and report safety deviations to supervisor and manager

     

    • Perform and provide oversight to the daily warehouse operation:
      • Document and report improper employee behavior to supervisor and manager
      • Have a deep understanding of JDE (System) and DSI (Scanning gun)
      • Ability to Scan, load and ship FG and RM/PM product (Transfers and Sales Orders)
      • Ability to completely receive Purchasing Orders following established process
      • Develop, Implement and maintain all warehouse processes
      • Complete the RTS process as needed
      • Lead and guide the Weight RoomàBe able to step in and support the process when needed
      • Support day to day production. Treat all Production lines as your customer
      • Directly responsible for managing the posted schedule; have daily work completed on time and personal out at posted time
      • Support the Warehouse Supervisor in order to keep all PIT equipment is operational by inspecting equipment/coordinating repairs with PIT vendor as needed
      • Encourage direct employees to achieve and finish daily work
      • Monitor daily and weekly project list and delegate responsibilities during slower work
      • Ask for support from Supervisor and Manager as needed
      • Support Inventory Control by initiating Cycle counts, Zero Verifications as needed
      • Track and update PITT equipment issues on current excel sheet
      • Train new, on call, and temporary employees to perform operational tasks

     

    • Communication:
      • Report safety and process deviations to immediate supervisor and manager
      • Report progress/development of employee training and performance
      • Communicate and offer solutions of process deviation to Supervisor
      • Communicate PITT equipment issues to Supervisor
      • Communicate clearly with Supply Chain (Planning, Purchasing and Shipping) including responding to emails in timely manner
      • Communicate operational issues to team members and supervisor
      • Promote and maintain a cooperative work environment

    Qualifications

    • At least three (3) years of leadership experaince, preferably in a warehouse environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • At least one (1) year experiance operating stand up forklifts.
    • Previous RFID experiance desired.
    • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in the English language.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
