  • Overview

    The PID Operator obtains product to be processed.  Brings packing materials to product line and removes unused materials.  Scans items into work order and scans finished products into system. The PID Operator uses a palletjack and forklift to move product. Scans and balances production.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Knowledge of JDE
    • Palletjack and forklift Certification
    • Transfer finished goods from production line to palletizer
    • Computer processing of production materials
    • Uses palletjack and forklift to move product from staging line to production line.
    • Scans and applies pallet tracking tags
    • Balances production manifests with PID inventory
    • Completes work order reporting, as needed.
    • Completes daily check of equipment to maintain safety
    • Responsible for the accurate use and proper care of hand-held scanning equipment
    • Assists other material handlers/scanners as needed
    • Maintains clean work area.
    • Maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF and regulatory requirements
    • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to lead/supervisor/manager
    • Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas
    • Any other tasks assigned to you by the warehouse lead/supervisor/manager
    • Required to wear hairnet, smock, captive shoes, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company

    Qualifications

    Required Education, Experience, Certification, License or Membership:

    • Prefer High School Diploma or GED and/or material handler experience
    • Must be able to work fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work rapidly and with a high degree of accuracy
    • Math Skills
    • Reliable, Self-driven, Minimal Supervision
    • Forklift/palletjack Certification
    • Must have good manual dexterity and vision
    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds

     

      

    Employee Safety Responsibilities:

    • Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts & horseplay
    • Use proper lifting techniques
    • Use mechanical assistance (handjacks, forklifts)
    • Use personal assistance (buddy)
    • Use handrails
    • Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Adhere to the forklift certification regulations and safety rules
