  • Overview

    The Payroll/Accounting Coordinator position will ensure accurate processing and recording of multiple weekly payrolls. The Coordinator will provide timely and accurate reports, and ensure department’s compliance with state and federal regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for accurate and timely preparation and processing of three weekly payrolls in multiple states, ensuring accuracy of payroll records
    • Manage day to day activities of child support garnishment, ensure accurate recordkeeping of the orders, ensure timely response to all employee inquires and issuing agencies, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
    • Prepare various manual payroll reports as required by Finance/Accounting team at each location
    • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
    • Work closely with Human Resources and Accounting on all payroll related issues.
    • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
    • Assist on special projects and assignments on an as needed basis
    • Work closely with HR in identifying and resolving outstanding payroll checks.      
    • Ensure compliance of Due Diligence requirements and keep a clean recordkeeping of all communication correspondence for future audit purpose.
    • Auditing payrolls for 401-K compliance and submitting corrective actions if necessary.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Business OR 5+ years of payroll and accounting work experience, knowledge of Federal/State Wage and Hour Laws
    • Strong systems skills ERP System (JDE) and MS Office programs; strong working knowledge of Excel is required. Kronos experience is desirable.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Self-motivated and resourceful; able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a fast paced work environment
    • An enthusiastic team member who collaborates well with others and builds strong working relationshipsAbility to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
    • Strong organizational skill needed
    • Strong work-ethic is critical for success in this position
    • Ability to maintain payroll confidentiality is a MUST
